    Sculptra is suitable for increasing the volume of depressed areas, particularly to correct skin depressions, such as in skin creases, wrinkles, folds, scars, and for skin aging.

 

    Sculptra is also suitable for large volume corrections of the signs of facial fat loss (lipoatrophy). Sculptra provides gradual correction of the treated area, the number of treatment sessions depends on the severity of the facial loss volume and the desires of the patient.

 

    Individual results may vary, and patient expectations should be managed realistically. Patients should be reminded to massage at home following treatment. Touchup treatment may be required at maintain optimal results. 

 

    The most commonly observed adverse event was the delayed occurrence of subcutaneous papules, which were confined to the injection site and were typically palpable, asymptomatic, and non-visible. Visible nodules, without inflammation, have also been reported. Other adverse events include immediate and transient injection-related events such as bleeding from the injection site, discomfort, erythema or inflammation, ecchymosis, and edema.
